Praise and Thanksgiving! Our daughter has just had it confirmed that from next week they have 34 hours a week support for Little Beaky with a special needs nanny! It comes under Health and will remain in place for two years when it will be reviewed. 😊 Little Beaky is still having a lot of seizures and needs one to one care so this is such wonderful news 😍
They fought very hard to get this- initially the powers that be said they didn't need any help at all (?!) but the community team of doctors/therapists kept on supporting them in their appeals and then finally the help was granted- their recent hideous time in hospital made matters too clear to ignore!
It will change their lives as the special needs nanny who looked after Little Beaky when his mum tried to return to work (she eventually gave up her much loved career to care for him) has agreed to come back and work full time so he has continuity of care with someone he loves and who loves him and who is excellent at what she does.
I don't think I have adequate words to express the P&T I felt today when I opened the bill from the undertakers and found that an anonymous well-wisher had paid the whole jolly lot.
People have been inexpressibly kind to me since D. died, and this is yet another manifestation of that kindness.
Oh my! Piglet, that must have been a shock of the best kind. I am so glad that in the midst of something so hard that someone was so practical, not to mention wealthy enough to make that difference. What a relief.
@Piglet , how much love must people be feeling for you and for D at this terrible time. Another fabulous tribute to how much you both mean/have meant to them.

Amen. May we all be made instruments of His peace.
Congratulations to you.
P & T from over here that my tear-ducts behaved themselves at D's funeral yesterday.

Good news!
May it continue
