It's good to see David Mitchell and Robert Webb back on screen as a comedy duo (with great support from Stevie Martin, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Krystal Evans & Lara Ricote).

E.M. Forster (joining a contemporary writers' group and popping up in other contemporary suburban contexts) was my favourite character and I liked how they reflected on their own incipient/ possible datedness through the somewhat meta 'writers' room' interludes.

At first, I found 'Sweary Aussie Drama' somewhat de trop - however, it's ridiculousness and vulgarity did then grow on me a little.

Thank you. I'm afraid I don't indulge in televisual feasting, so the reference was completely lost on me.

As big fans of the old Mitchell and Webb series, my husband and I awaited this eagerly and were happy to find a way to watch it over here in Canada. Like any sketch show some are hit and miss but overall we really enjoyed it, though Sweary Aussie Drama never did grow on me.

As a retired teacher, my all time favourite sketch was the one with David Mitchell as a teacher ranting about how the children never see, to learn fractions, like all the best comedy sketches it took something very relatable and just extrapolated it to the level of silliness.

(typo above: should be "the children never seem to learn fractions").

I have a teaching colleague who had this exact sensation ("I've been teaching the Year 9s the structure of a cell for 15 years and they still don't know it...")

I always felt that way about the parts of speech.
