Murdle was particularly nasty and, honestly, I lacked confidence in my solution (it was more like a "probably" right rather than a "certainly" right)---but it turned out to be right. That was over 20 minutes of thought.

I thought I had two possible words after my starter word. Turns out I had three! Not really Karlage for me, as I deliberately chose the first of the two as the most likely in American usage. If I'd thought of the third one beforehand, that would have been next.
