FWIW, as a music term it goes back at least two centuries, though obviously that usage isn’t derived from English. For the usage people may be more likely to think of, Merriam-Webster, a standard American dictionary, identifies it as slang, not as a non-English word.
Similar to others, the nature of the word brought a frown. But some weeks back I used "hygge" as a guess and noted that it was accepted as a proper English word, so I guess I am not surprised by this one.

A case of Karl's Law: I had two possibilities for my final guess. I thought of #1 first and typed it in. Then I realized #2 was also possible--and was a more common word than #1. So I switched my answer to #2, figuring that the more common word was more likely. Naturally, of course, it turned out that #1 was the right answer.

Well, I had a complete brain fade with that Quordle!
Two starter words gave me all five letters used in the lower left quadrant. I then made a silly guess too quickly by placing a letter in a position where it couldn't be.
Next, I wasted guesses in the lower right quadrant. I had not used one of my usual starter words, but thought that I had. This meant that I was mentally eliminating letters actually in the word.
By the time I turned to the upper right quadrant I had only two guesses left. I could see only two possible words and, of course, made the wrong choice (thank you Karl's Law)
Happy with twos and threes for Wordle, Byrdle and Word Hurdle, but Quordle was definitely a Skin of the Teeth Situation, having had a bit of bother with Karl's Law in the NW corner!

A case of Karl's Law: I had two possibilities for my final guess. I thought of #1 first and typed it in. Then I realized #2 was also possible--and was a more common word than #1. Well, I had a complete brain fade with that Quordle!
Two starter words gave me all five letters used in the lower left quadrant. I then made a silly guess too quickly by placing a letter in a position where it couldn't be.
Next, I wasted guesses in the lower right quadrant. I had not used one of my usual starter words, but thought that I had. This meant that I was mentally eliminating letters actually in the word.
By the time I turned to the upper right quadrant I had only two guesses left. I could see only two possible words and, of course, made the wrong choice (thank you Karl's Law)
