@Graven Image that worked with the other carriers I've had, but this one is a different shape more square with a hinged top. Wghen I bought it I thought it would be easier - it's not.
I feel awful. Last time the vet (a different one from last time) said she was too heavy. I've been carefully weighing her food at the recommended amount every day and she has lost weight. I now have to feed her 30 gm twice daily instead of 24gm.
They didn't suggest it, but I'm planning to take her back in 3 months time to be weighed by a vet nurse as I'm concerned that the weight loss could be due to something other than underfeeding.
I am afraid Molly is still refusing any walk but her morning one. I have read I should not be rubbing her and offering comfort, which is what I have been doing when she runs back to the door. I have read in two places not to respond to her fear, but act in a disinterested, calm manner as though everything is just fine. I have done that twice, let her in the house and said I am going for a walk. I then leave the house and take a short stroll. It has only been twice, but I hope it helps.
It worked. Yesterday, there was no comfort, and I walked without her. Today, when I picked up her leash to put it on, she refused to come. When I put it back and said, I am going for a walk and went to the door, she ran over. We had a short, successful walk. Fingers crossed, we have resolved the issue. I do note the wind was not blowing.
