Sammy had another contrasting MRI yesterday. Doctors are pleased the femur is forming up like they want. They did put his right leg in a full cast for another six weeks to make sure the femur will continue to heal correctly. Hopefully, this will be the final leg round.
I'd be grateful for your prayers as I have knee replacement surgery on Monday, not sure of the time yet. There is a possible problem with pain control after surgery, as I am genetically insensitive to oral narcotics, and we are trying a mouth patch and hoping it will work.
If it's any consolation to you LC, my mother-in-law was maybe not exactly leaping like a hart, but certainly very active, and walking with very little discomfort, quite shortly after having a knee replaced.

@Clarence's mother, Audrey, died a couple of hours ago. In cricketing parlance (she was ecstatic when Queensland won the Sheffield Shield for the first time in 1995), she had a good innings of 95. 🙏 too for Clarence's sister who sat vigil with her mother, and is organising her funeral in addition to leading a large parish and deanery.
I still think it's 2005. It occurs to me that some Shipmates won't know that Clarence is my wife, hence Audrey was my mother-in-law (Australian Methodist aristocracy).

My other sister-in-law Hoa is in the hospital with pneumonia, and has just been placed on hospice. I'm not sure what we're going to do, I'm having knee surgery Monday, and Mr. Lamb will certainly want to travel--either to Chicago or to California, depending--and I'm not supposed to be left alone. I have an adult son, but he works and hasn't got his driver's license yet. I may have to depend on a friend--or else reschedule surgery. Pray for Hoa, please--and for wisdom? (Mr. Lamb lost his other sister in May/June this year.)

M that I mentioned a while back had his major operation a couple of weeks ago, and so far things seem to be going better than I hoped they might which is such good news.
