I got a deferment on my student loans for a couple more months to get things sorted out that I haven’t been able to get in time for the deadline tomorrow.
That is good news @ChastMastr and must give a little breathing space. @RockyRoger glad to hear things are good on the Cardiology front. All good news is very much appreciated!
Praise and thanksgiving have been rather absent of late. Understandable, but a pity ...
I have (at last!) started my cardiac physio. The exercise regime I have to follow takes an hour or so to do properly and I get quite puffed.
I didn't realise I would find it this hard. I hoped it would be fun. Oh dear!
A link to the 'Road to Recovery' video on (where else?) 'You Tube' is available on request....
But at least I've started, for which God be thanked and praised.
The laptop on which I do all the organist's admin, my own life admin, and much else besides, has been resurrected with a reset, reinstalling everything, and a lot of prayer. It now feels as if it will continue to work for a good bit longer.
I'm also grateful I'm usually able to solve these issues for myself - though this was one of the trickiest ones I've ever sorted. It was touch and go last night if I'd be posting joyfully about its revival, or condemning it to the eternal hell fires.

Gratitude is so good .... but how much 'Prayer and Fasting' was required?
I have to use a tablet to control my hi-fi. It's just gone belly up. At the start of the Proms too!
I've tried switching it on and off ... no go ... should I pray over it or just buy a new tablet type thingy? And then bribe a grandchild to set it up?
Discernment is needed!
I have wonderful news! I will now be changing my own dressing once a week, and going into the wound care place only once a week, but the big thing is I will be able to finally go into restaurants and grocery stores again!! I don't have to be all alone in my apartment all the time anymore!! I need to get some kind of large enough Velcro sandal/ shoe if I can. I haven't been able to go anywhere other than medical places since the end of May... I'll still need help with some things, but this makes me SO HAPPY!!
Thank you to those who rejoiced with me on the computer stuff.
@RockyRoger - much prayer but little fasting. I needed much bribery of self (no grandchildren, but some of my music students have been known to pass on tips) to get me through the reset, reinstall and reorganising processes but I can now report I think everything is fully restored, including how I separated out my organist's work from my personal stuff which had been puzzling me, and am now back into the church's social media accounts for a slightly overdue anyway tidy up.
Twin boys safely delivered just before lunchtime yesterday! DiL looking slightly stunned, #1 son like a dog with two tails, I have a distinct sense of deja vu ... and a bit of a hangover. 🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾

Congratulations to all @TheOrganist! Our twins are now 36, but it seems only yesterday that a tiny Catholic nun was berating the delivery room staff to get Mrs BA's blood sugar stable so she could deliver the second baby.
My sister’s husband, D, had his planned second round of cancer surgery: it went well, and the specialist is making guardedly positive noises about the next steps. My Sister, S, says he may qualify for immunotherapy as a follow-up, which has a great success rate.

Praise Our Lord that H, another close and dear friend (my friends seem to be going through it at the moment - is it me?) has welcomed his wife, S, back from hospital. S had a really horrid Tummy bug that knocked her out for three weeks or so. Praise be for antibiotics!
Her kidney function etc now back to normal. We now pray her broken leg will heal well...
I am so glad that my friend P who very nearly died in February and was struggling to walk across a room is now out and about and contemplating seven mile walks.
Not sure where to put this, but I suppose this is a thanksgiving in a way. I mostly just joined this site since I got a chuckle reading MW reports and I enjoyed seeing what else people sang on Sunday, and didn't know much of the history of these boards (although, despite being a Young Person, I do have a certain appreciation for old-school bulletin boards in lieu of Facebook and IG group chats and Discord servers, as nice and convenient as those things can be). So, during some down time at work, I went on a bit of a deep dive down these boards, and onto the Old Ship, and found myself holding back tears at my desk reading the legendary Fields of Gold thread in the old Glory. What a lovely sharing of community that I suddenly felt so close to and involved in, even though it happened long before I would be able to appreciate it. What a neat little corner of the internet.

My wife and I drove home from a week away yesterday, and about 1.5 hours west of home we drove through one the biggest thunderstorms I’ve ever been through. We got home around 7:00 last night to find the power had gone out and was back on (except for one circuit), but we had no AC or internet/tv. We also found an odd crack in the dry wall in the dining room, with powder on the buffet and the dining room table, and about 4 or 5 LED bulbs blew within minutes of being turned on. I figured that the same thunderstorm had been through her and caused a surge, though the crack in the wall was something of a mystery.
We learned this morning that the house across the street was hit by lightning in the storm yesterday afternoon, so we figured that explained it all. They were home and had a fire in their crawl space, which the fire department put out just before it got to their gas line.
When the HVAC guys were here this afternoon (the control panel is fried), we realized our house had also been hit. There’s a streak all the way down a pine tree in front of the house—at least 50 feet—and a hole in the eaves outside our daughter’s room (and more or less over the crack in the dining room). We are very lucky we didn’t have a fire, since we weren't home to be aware of it.
We’ve filed a claim with the insurance company, and we’re getting the roof checked tomorrow. Hopefully the AC (possibly a whole new system) sometime in the coming week. We talked to the electrician we’ve used before, and he can’t get here for 2 weeks, but he talked through enough things to be satisfied he wasn’t hearing anything that concerned him safety-wise.
Always on a holiday weekend. But we are very thankful!
There were at least 6 house fires around here due to lightning strikes. Three of the houses—one struck by lightning and the two and either side—are complete losses, apparently.
The HVAC people told me we were the fourth house they’d been to today that had damage from the storm.

Thanks to the wonderful computer geniuses (genii??) I am back - and it happened while I am still current, so I don't have to sign up again.

Many congratulations to all!
Oh yes indeed! 😍
Praise be to all mothers, and to tiny Catholic nuns, rightfully defending creatures great and small, and delivering great (bundles of) joy.
Buy one, get one free??
Your DIL is doing well if she is only looking "slightly" stunned.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for all of your prayers.
Awesome!!
Her kidney function etc now back to normal. We now pray her broken leg will heal well...
Prayers for everyone who didn’t or is dealing with the storm now… 🕯
PTL!
Amen.
