I probably start with two seeds, perhaps three. Occasionally one. Here I used two, then saw I had four letters for top left with one green, so went straight for the answer (and mucked it up because of stupidity). Then top right was the only prospect, then Karled the bottom right (one of two realistic words, and I picked the wrong one), then bottom left was the only option.
(On the wordle above, I used just one seed, found 3/5 letters orange, then went for a guess, and got an anagram of the answer. That word has a lot of anagrams, but I think I picked the only one that has no correct letters on either line 1 or line 2.)
Guess three was again helpful. I was using a word trying to get info for the upper right...and by chance was practically handed the answer to upper left!
I usually use two seeds for wordle covering all vowels (except w) barring cases when the first seed gives a lot of letters. Quordle uses the same two seeds and then vary strategy.
The more seeds, I suspect, the more likely to have a higher average over the long run. The fewer seeds the more likely to fail. I suspect more seeds for quordle than wordle is a good game strategy.
That was weird. I had all but one letter on guess 2 (upper right); then all but one letter on guess 3 (lower right); then all but one letter on guess 4 (upper left)...decided I needed to start solving, so I solved those three on guesses 5, 6 & 7....and then had all but one letter on guess 8 (lower left)!
