Does anyone else in Quordle defer an answer? As in "I know what bottom left must be but I won't enter it yet as it won't give me any more letters!" and then mop those up at the end?
Doesn't often happen, but complete set: wordle, birdle, bardle, byrdle, prayerdle, phrazle, nerdle, quordle, octordle, sedecordle, wordhurdle (4,5,6) today. I doubt if I can ever repeat this, but nice to have done it once, very lucky of course.
I agree with Karl about deferring in Quordle; I didn't today, but I certainly have in previous ones. It depends on how the letters fall; it's a useful gambit if you're in danger of extreme Karlage!
Bottom left started well, but I decided to work on the other blocks first and come back to it. I'm still uncertain whether that was good strategy.
As it turns out, solving the word right away would not have given me any letters elsewhere. So I would not have gained much by solving it right away...but on the other hand, I had to put the word in at some point, so what purpose was served by waiting?
